Report of the 3rd North Zone convention, Lucknow |

The Central Council and CWC meetings along with 3rd North Zone convention were organized in the Shan-e- Awadh city, Lucknow from 29th to 31st January 2014. The main function (3rd North Zone convention) was organized in the Auditorium of the Bhartendu Natya Academy, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The function was graced with the presence of Shri Jawhar Sircar, CEO Prasar Bharati as Chief Guest. Sh. R. K. Saxena, ADG-Dev, AIR, Sh. Dr. Sanjay Dubey, ADG(A), AIR, Sh. O. K. Sharma, ADG(NZ) and Sh.Y. K. Singh, DDG(A),Prasar Bharati,were the other distinguished guests. Sh. Umesh Chandra, President, presided over the function while Sh. M. P. Chaudhary, Secy EA/SEA) gave vote of thanks to the dignitaries for their presence.
As Chief Guest, Key note address was delivered by Sh. Jawhar Sircar, CEO Prasar Bharati, in a very positive mode before more than 300 ARTEE members, including leaders from other Zones (East Zone, South Zone & West Zone) also. In his ½ hr. long address CEO assured members to look in to all the demands raised by ARTEE viz. One Cadre One Pay Scale and Lighting Assistant Vs Technician Pay Parity case favorably. He also cautioned about the threat to the existence to Prasar Bharati. He assured the members to protect them on HR issues for fears coming out of Sam Pitroda committee report. He assured that Prasar Bharati is NOT going to wind up terrestrial network. He also assured to look in to Patna ACP case for necessary favorable action.
This was also a very important occasion, when Officials mentioned above, who is handling our matters directly, updated our Members on various issues in their addresses. Sh. Vikash Katiyar, State Secy. UP, ARTEE, thanked the Guests for sparing their valuable time.
